Just as my Dahlias were showing through the soil this spring all but four were attacked by slugs/snails.   This is one of my favourites and a survivor, with some lovely flowers and lots of buds to follow.
A day of heavy rain and only 13 degrees, but it's cleared now and we have sunshine and some blue sky.   Large areas in one of the meadows where we walk is under water again, it's unbelievable in July.
