A close finish

Today was our first time this year out to watch Penicuik cricket. MrKT and I popped along at 3, just catching the end of Penicuik innings - 191 was looking pretty good. We planned to stay an hour or so to see our son bowl, then home to cook a roast dinner.
But the opposition hung on in there and suddenly 191 wasn’t looking so comfortable as their runs crept up. By 6pm we still hadn’t left and things were getting tense. MrKT had got himself a beer and it was clear that the Sunday roast wasn’t going to happen!
With everything hanging on the final overs we had drama after drama ending with a brilliant catch from one of the Penicuik fielders out on the boundary. Penicuik had won - and through to the next round of whatever cup this is!!
Home to relax, and find something for dinner!
