Bubbles of Joy!
Today has been tough. I told my form that I will be leaving at the end of this term. They are fantastic and I am very fond of them and proud to be their form tutor so I am very sad to be leaving them. The other pupils are beginning to find out too and there has been a steady stream of visitors popping in to my classroom to find out if the rumours are true. I am an established member of staff having been here for five years and taught lots of pupils and different generations of local families so lots of pupils are interested in the news.
I am sad to leave. I love the pupils and my office gang and love working with young people but I have made the decision to try something new. It was not an easy decision and what the next stage is, is still unknown. So everything is a little exciting or terrifying at the moment. The next few weeks and months will be interesting...
After school I played in the pupil and staff mixed doubles tennis tournament. I was partnered by a very good Year 10 boy and I channelled my inner Steffi Graf (She was always my favourite). We played really well together and have made it through to the semi-finals next week. I can't believe it! It was great fun and lovely to play something fun and frivolous at the end of a rather emotional and intense day.
This is a shot of a bubble I spotted in my local park. A mum was making the bubbles for her children to chase, so I asked if I could take some photos. I know this is a bit fuzzy but I like the fact that you can see the reflection of the children chasing the bubble. They were having such fun!
P.S. I am the pink blob in the bubble!
