It rained

although a sunny spell this afternoon encouraged me out to look for a photo.  

A day in the kitchen preparing food for visitors this evening, I was adventurous with the menu and all turned out well thank goodness.  

For several years we have looked at air fryers, and when in Anglesey I decided to order a Ninja, a model using one large drawer with a divider. It arrived a few days ago with good results each evening. For the meal  I experimented with a baked pudding, it was spot on, a new recipe using maple syrup instead of sugar, gooseberries, ground almonds and a stem ginger ball and juice. The one drawer with a divider allows for larger cooking, the divider means it’s possible to cook a small amount in zone 1, as they call it. The recipe book ordered is inspirational, I tried a couple small things for tonight, one of which was cumin coated carrot sticks, very simple and tasty.
