European Export

A European honey bee which is not native in these parts, although, to the best of my knowledge, not harmful, unlike many species introduced here.

Brought to the colonies by European settlers, it is the only bee to produce honey here. Typically relying on managed hives, which, because of their abundance, means honey bees are found nearly everywhere and they are important pollinators.
