Dazzling Crimson …

… by our back door late this cloudy afternoon. We don’t know what the flower is, but perhaps one of you can enlighten us.

It was a warm and humid day with heavy rain beginning at 5 pm as forecast. We stayed in much of the day, watching Wimbledon and visiting with our friends, who left after lunch hoping to beat holiday traffic by returning before the Sunday rush.
