New Friend/Old Friend

After being awake most of the night, watching the election coverage, amazingly I managed to get up at a reasonable time and have a productive day off. Shopping done, an online governors meeting to sort out some details for a tricky upcoming meeting, and then I visited Rhonda. She and I started at a new school, working in the same class, 28 years ago which I can’t quite believe, she was my teaching assistant when I was an NQT. We’ve not seen each other for a very long while, despite only living 10 minutes apart, life just got busy for both of us like it does. But after yesterday I’ve resolved to make more of an effort to spend more time with people who are important to me, life is short. I met her toddler grandson today, which was like looking at a carbon copy of his mother at a similar age.

I also met Taco. Chihuahuas aren’t my favourite really, but he was CUTE! I was slightly terrified of standing on him, he’s smaller than my cat.
