Callanish

We finally woke up to sunshine and blue skies today. I caught the bus to the Callanish Standing Stones with two other people who were staying at the hostel, a Norwegian chap and a Canadian lady. The stones were amazing and in addition to the main stones, we also walked to two other stone circles (I got covered in mud). We had lunch at an Alpaca farm and then tried to visit a local Blackhouse heritage site but sadly ran out of time as we had to catch the bus back to Stornoway.
I watched the Alcaraz Wimbledon game and the Spain v Germany quarter final and then we went out for a Thai meal in a local restaurant. Last night of our trip tonight. We’re catching the very early ferry to Ullapool tomorrow.
