Small Tortoiseshell

Better weather today but his is probably the calm before the storm looking at the weekend weather forecast . So after work this evening a walk along the river bank to find a blip . There was not to much about but I did spot this lovely Small Tortoiseshell butterfly that kept giving me the run around as I kept getting close it then flew up and off again. I did in the end manage this shot slightly distorted  by the grass..
Blip sorted back home to catch the end  of an entertaining match which saw  Spain beat Germany 2-1 in extra time with a goal in the last couple of minutes to win the game when it looked like it was going to extra time.
Now watching some Super League rugby Wigan v Leigh the battle of the borough very hard hitting with one Wigan play off injured with concussion in the 1st few minutes  and also a couple of sin bins one for each side, Wigan lead 8 - 0 at half time time to settle down now for the 2nd half
