In Highland Harbours ....

Anyone familiar with the "Para Handy" stories by the incomparable Neil Munro will recognise not just the title of this entry but also the image - a puffer seen close up steaming through the waters of the west coast of Scotland.

The actual boat - one of  the last puffers in existence and  numbered as VIC 32 - is featured in my extra photo when in Crinan Basin this morning, before we set out on a wonderful trip down Loch Criagnish .  The second extra photo was taken at the fishing pier in Crinan  on our return some six hours later.

The date was accidental but fortuitous, though it did mean that  I got to Crinan safely , courtesy of my neighbour  John Shiveral , with only a couple of hours sleep.

A good time was had by all and and I have posted some more pictures on my Flickr site at  https://www.flickr.com/photos/feorlean/albums/72177720318526608/
