A big day

Not the world's greatest image but what it shows is important. 

In my lifetime there had been four different Labour Prime Ministers before today - Wilson (twice), Callaghan, Blair, and Brown - we've had five different Tory Prime Ministers in the last ten years. Labour PMs are rare beasts. 

It's been good to watch the mechanisms of power working to accommodate a smooth transition from one PM to another, from one governing party to another. 

And now we can get back to the football... ;-)
