One of the big planters.

This one is in Market Street. Others are around town, often directly sponsored by local businesses et cetera and or the local authority. They tend to be looked after by local volunteers. They bring lovely colour and warmth to wherever they’re situated; they’re very much part of the St Andrews street scene in summer.

In the morning, our younger son and partner, parents and two little dogs, came over for coffee. It was a nice visit, hadn’t seen the parents since the Scottish cup win at Murrayfield in May. Just after they left the electrician came back to complete a repair he was doing. Seems to be okay, the appliance certainly was working when he left!
