A day in the life

Flamenco

A rare visit on Öland, flamenco dancers. Their leader Pia, in white, lead the show-off show of what the students in a Flamenco dancing course, organised by the Folk highschool on Öland. They organise summer courses, usually five day long, containing learning about the nature on Öland, to arts, knitting yoga and Flamenco dancing. The show was as energetic as the photo shows.

I had to go to Kalmar on the mainland again today to get my cellphone fixed, I had messed up yesterday attempting to clean the slot where you charge the phone, with a toothpick and managed to break the tip off in there. Clumsy. It cost me 9€ to get it fixed and told to leave it alone next time.

In town, I went to the museum to look at a new exhibition about the ongoing excavations of the fortresses on Öland. Interesting and in combination with a good lunch at the museum a worthwhile trip over the bridge.
