St Teilo , Llandeilo

During lockdown researching my family tree I connected with J in Australia; her gt gt grandmother and mine were sisters who travelled to Australia during the Gold Rush when women were in demand we believe :)
Mine -Mary - came back and of course established a family in firstly Wales / Malta/ London.
This is the church where the girls’ parents married and the girls were christened. The vicar was very welcoming and helpful and we were able to see copies of the records and find their parents’ grave along with three brothers who died young
Although I wasn’t expecting any emotional connection with it being 170 years ago it was actually really poignant visiting these places with J. Well worth the trip!
