My husband’s replacement Apple Watch arrived this morning and he’s delighted it’s been replaced, especially as we’ve had such a fight to get something done about it. Apple were really good in the end and honoured a warranty for a 13 month old watch, which they didn’t have to do. I did mention the warranty issue to the Apple representative when I phoned a couple of weeks ago and explained that under some circumstances they were required under EU law to consider repairing something that was under two years old…and they agreed. I’m so glad it worked out.
We had to take our car back to the dealership this afternoon as the electronic handbrake keeps switching itself off, which is quite dangerous in some circumstances. They found out that if he leaves the car in gear when applying the handbrake, that apparently the engine management system thinks that the brake has been applied by accident, so immediately switches it off. If he puts the car into neutral, it doesn’t do this. So, from now on he has to have the car in neutral and it will work ok then. The technician he spoke to also mentioned that next year Dacia are adding a breathalyser kit to the car, which will stop the engine from starting if the driver fails it….????? I understand that car manufacturers want to ensure safety measures work…but a breathalyser?
This photo is of the old Caledonian Railway building in Brechin, I’m not sure what’s happening to it, but it does look like there are some renovations going on.
