Stuff and Nonsense

The Coo Palace

After a hearty breakfast at the Ivy Hotel, we headed north to visit WWT Caerlaverock on our way up to Coo.
Being summer, I wasn’t expecting too much from this reserve as it is primarily a site that welcomes thousands of Whooper Swans and Barnacle Geese in wintertime, but it was actually quite good. We saw more than 30 species of birds, 4 different species of butterflies, a dragonfly and some deer.
Best sight of the day was a lovely Marsh Harrier hunting over the marsh.
We arrived at The Coo Palace at around 4pm and first impressions are very positive. We have a frontline apartment that overlooks the Solway Firth and thankfully the sun is still shining.

I doubt that I’ll be commenting much whilst I’m away (unless it pours down for a whole day!) and I obviously wasn’t commenting whilst we had visitors, so I apologise for that. I’ve backblipped the past few days if anyone is interested. Thank you all for still visiting and catching up with my blips. It is very much appreciated, as are all the hearts, stars and comments.
