A Busy Day

This young Sparrowhawk visited the garden early this morning. It was definitely a beginner at hunting, and needs to learn quickly if it is to feed itself.
I went up to Longshaw to do my butterfly survey - it was dry and sunny, but it could have been warmer, and there was a strong westerly wind blowing. I saw one Comma.
On the way back, I called in to vote. It was a twofer as there was a local parish council election as well.
Later this afternoon, I had an appointment and the cancer hospital. 7 years after my diagnosis, they have finally discharged me.
