Welcome To Street

With "Street" being the topic for today in HeartFreek's July Challenge, I took the easy option, I'm afraid*, and blipped the sign that greets you as you approach my home village from Glastonbury.

The icthyosaur is the village's adopted badge as fossils of this prehistoric sea creature were found in local blue lias stone when it was quarried in the 1800s to build houses for the workers in the Clarks' shoe factory. Read more about the village here.

* Too knackered to be more creative after my second round of golf in 3 days. The pro told me i'd need to take one step backwards to make great strides of progress in adapting the techniques he was trying to teach me on Monday: I think he underestimated my reversing capabilities! My worst two scores in ages this week.
