A very old weathervane

This morning we left our nice Air B and B, visited my brother in law again and then made our way home. En route we had good views of Glastonbury Tor but nowhere to stop and take photos! We called in at a NT house in Somerset, to give a Libby a walk. One I’ve not been to before called Lytes Cary. As well as the house some of the farm buildings have been preserved as it was a working farm until the 1950’s. The family who used to live there were keen on horses, hence the weathervane. See extra of the house which is not huge. We didn’t go in the house today or the formal gardens as no dogs allowed! It was interesting to see that one of the fields is now given over to allotments.

We had a really good journey up the A303 and M3 and no queue at Stonehenge. It won’t be like that for very long once schools break up and so many people head to Devon and Cornwall!
