Kimono: Kyoto to Catwalk .....

....... exhibition in the Dundee V&A Musuem.

The forecast wasn't too promising and it was very windy so we headed across the Tay Bridge to the V&A. Coffee first and then a walk round the most wonderful exhibition of Japanese Kimonos ...... some traditional with embroidered fabrics and some from the modern era where screen printed fabrics were used. I preferred the traditional ones.

The designer of the kimono in my blip wore the outfit to the British Fashion Awards in 2013. The second extra shows the two kimonos I created on a computer with a programme specially designed for that very job.
