Fleeting Friends

The beach house next door to us is owned by a California family who only use it 2 months a year. They have a little boy who is about Ellie's age and they enjoy seeing each year if they are both here at the same time. He came over tonight to say, "hi"; I invited him to stay and play for half an hour even though Ellie already had her nightgown on after her bath. They enjoyed the Legos and came up with great stories to go along with what they were building.  I love watching children enjoy playing together in gentle respectful conversation.
