Get your coat, it's time to vote ...

Was up early this morning and have already cast my vote - that's the 11th UK General Election, since I reached voting-age, and I'm proud to have voted in every single one of them. Also pleased to report that there was a small queue of voters, at 7am, waiting for my local Polling Place to open :-)

Tomorrow morning (Friday) we're off to Ireland for a week's holiday - heading down to Killorglin, in County Kerry ...

... cannot tell you just how much I'm hoping that, by the time I return, there will be a new Prime Minister in No.10 Downing Street, and a new UK-Government established and in place.

May well be a bit of a cliché, but for me, no less true - this country just desperately needs a spell of basic, competent governance.

It can't happen soon enough.
