Wednesday: Shuttered

This shot is hopefully more interesting than it initially seems.  It’s my office but you might notice that there’s no natural light.  Normally I have fully functioning windows but yesterday we put the hurricane shutters up due to the approach of Beryl so I’ve been working in semi-darkness all day.

That said, I think we’re dodging a bullet.  What was looking like a category 5 a few days ago now seems to be dying down into a tropical storm and actually swerving past us into Mexico.  We still can’t be complacent though - it could still change direction and there’s a lot of concern that we’re seeing such a strong storm so early in the season.
