Birthday girl

She is a big girl 9 today, I remembered as I wrote the date at work. Every day is like a birthday for her anyway.

I went out to meet Katie for dinner, over from Boston to go to Glastonbury. It's been a year since we saw each other under exactly the same circumstances, we have been friends for nearly 30 years now, old ladies that we are and it is always a joy to spend time with her.

Then home to catch up with super Mark Cavendish's record beating day. What a star.
