East Fife

The weather killed off most of my plans for today. Well, you know, summer in Scotland.

I was compensated by long phone calls with my cousin and my friend in Edinburgh. The former is gradually drying out after boozy visits to München, Köln and Stuttgart over recent weeks. Apparently he saw some of the football too. We are trying to arrange to meet up sometime over the summer so I can question him more closely.

My school friend is still troubled by the painkillers he has had to take after his knee replacement surgery. His knee may be bionic now, but his bowels are not. Hence his unwillingness to meet me for lunch, or dinner, or coffee, or beer.

Meantime I researched a wee trip away for next weekend. I will sleep on it and then decide tomorrow morning.

My late dad has been in my thoughts this week - he played football against East Fife at Methil when he was in his prime. I dug out some of his cuttings to remind myself.

Blipped.
