Out of season

This amaryllis (hippeastrum) did nothing all winter and spring but suddenly decided to flower around mid-summer. The colour is worth the wait. The Wide Wednesday theme is shadows, and to me, that looks like a shadow in the middle. Thanks to Nicoiseannie for hosting.
