A fine brew

This morning Master B and I headed up to Derbyshire Levels and a particular elderflower-laiden field. We opened a heavy squeaky gate, pushed through long swishy swashy grass, as high as my companions head, and harvested a mass of cloudy blooms.

The sun was high, the sky blue, our smiles excited and the silence delicious.

Back in the car Master B leaned his elbow on the window ledge, wistfully watching the hills as we drove along the lanes and declared in his deepest most gentle tonnes; "I love adventure." So do I my boy, so do I!

The potion is now steeping in the pan ready to become syrupy elderflower cordial. The house is filled with sweet perfume.

Adventure aside, Master B seems to have taken a shine to a certain pre school chum called Evie, and the feeling is mutual...

On Tuesday he was seen kissing her cheek and giving her a hug. They then proceeded to chase each other round the playground!

Wednesday Evie gave Master B a 'gift' of a pebble which clearly made him very happy!

Today Master B decided to take an elderflower bloom to pre school for her. Upon arrival he gave it to Evie saying; "It's for you, smell it." She sniffed, looked into his eyes, smiled and nodded... my heart nearly burst!
