Today's the day ..................... for the pick of the crop

It seems to have taken much longer this year and they're still not quite at their juiciest - but it's just about time to pick the blackcurrants, redcurrants, tayberries and caseilles.

Despite the fact that all the above grow inside a purpose-built fruit cage, it will be a race between us and the blackbirds (who have managed to find a secret way in?) as to who gets the pick of the crop ....................!
