A sunny day in Hull
The day started with Humber Bridge parkrun. Although near to C's house, we have never been before as we have been put off by the mud. After the recent dry spell, we were convinced that the mud would not be an issue. It was a fun trail run with inclines in a disused quarry which has been made into a beautiful wildlife park in Hessle. The birdsong was louder than usual an there were views of the beautiful Humber Bridge. I was pleased with my time of 32:56.
We met up with C and D for brunch at Nibble, a fab breakfast cafe in Hull. After a short city walk we returned to C' for a lovely sunny afternoon in the garden.
D has bought a new bike so we saw him off for a practice cycle to work. I hope that he is able to keep up with the cycling. Later an alfresco BBQ, thanks to D - delicious as we have come to expect. Then the frustrating Scotland match. If it weren't for the 'no penalty' decision and a goal in the last minute for the opposition, it would have been a perfect day.
