A Winter Dawn….

A favourite viewpoint of mine. It is looking towards the Beaver Road footbridge. We had the heaviest frost so far this winter. Brrrr. I wore several layers of merino knits including merino tights, scarf and gloves.
A load of firewood I’d ordered arrived today. A big pile spread on two tarpaulins. Mixed pine and eucalyptus. The wood needs to be seasoned. It will be ready to burn next winter. My lovely neighbour sent over his relatives who are boarding with him. A team of big strong men stacked the firewood for me. They were so fast and so cheerful and did the job in less than an hour. I am so grateful for their kindness. I am blessed with very good neighbours . Arohanui.
