The last leg of the journey

When we went back to Edinburgh Airport to get the flight to Kirkwall we got our bags checked in and then when to the assistance center to get a wheelchair.

We waited and waited but they had a real shortage of workers and so as to not be late, Birgit & I made things work. I carried my rollator on my feet as Birgit pushed me in the wheelchair and we made it to the gate just in time for it to start the boarding. Glad we didn’t wait for a worker!

After a night at the Kirkwall Hotel, we were up and at the pier by 6:30 to get the morning ferry to Westray.

We spent the day talking and getting caught up on lots of different things and my sister arrived about 3pm. More talking and catching up!
