High summer

Today, my sister and I took our mother to Hilliers Gardens. Lots of the herbaceous plants are looking at their best now. Here is my sister in Centenary Border with the Inula magnifica, and then in extras with my Mum admiring the geraniums.
Second extra is of a rather unusual plant in Centenary border called Feijoa sellowiana or Acca sellowiana. It is  in the Myrtle family,  comes from Brazil, and produces an edible fruit called, misleadingly, a pineapple guava
