The Temple of Theseus

The Temple of Theseus sits at the end of the man-made lake on the Pitfour estate. Built by a Pitfour laird, its Grecian style is in keeping with other architectural features of the estate. The function of the Temple is unclear - it is variously thought to have been a heated bathing pool, a boat house or, more exotically an alligator tank.

Once impressive the Temple is now falling into disrepair and awaits long overdue restoration.
