Watching and waiting

Not only our garden birds, I had to be patient. A day of showers, fortunately we had visitors and the hours flew by, whatever did we talk about I wonder. Come to think of it air fryers didn’t get a mention, we hardly touched on politics, nor the environment. Yes, it was a fun morning of chatting about what we all have done, are doing and could do. Even John surprised me with a possible ‘I’ve been thinking’, I always love to hear those words and don’t mind if it’s about a new work top or how to catch snails, it could be something good. 

Part way through the day poor Jack arrived home limping, he lay on my knee and slept for hours, (John made the drinks as and when needed). I have just taken a closer look, it could be a bite, I hope from a vole or mouse and not a cat, (FIV - a cat virus that isn’t good is showing up in feral cats trapped in the area this year). 

The washing machine was fine this morning, two loads and no issues. Going by the date of manufacture we have had it 18/19 years, we live in an area with soft water from a hill supply, I wonder if that helps?
