Infirmary

Spent much of the day here as L woke in the night with severe stomach pains. Called an ambulance in the morning as there was no improvement. The paramedics were wonderful as were the hospital staff. Final diagnosis was acute pancreatitis so they will keep her in for a bit. MRI tomorrow and then see how it goes. Ideally the pancreas will settle down in a day or two so they can move straight on and remove the gallbladder - source of the gallstones which are the likely culprits. We'll wait and see.
