Out

A Monday. A new month.

I celebrated the arrival of July with Junior, over pizza at our usual spot. Both of us would have preferred to go Greek again, but did not feel up to negotiating the roadworks surrounding Dunfermline town city centre.

The pizza was great. His cheesecake looked super as well, but showing symptoms of late middle early old advancing age, I did not feel able to scoof back a dessert on top of a pizza.

Depressing.

These days we say little to each other about politics. It is the same with my cousin, his wife, and my friends in Edinburgh. It is all too... depressing. Today we did mutter a few mutual words of despair, and then went back to football, ice hockey etc. I know that is what They want, but still. We all have our limits.

After lunch I searched my soul for something positive to occupy my mind (other than ice hockey, football, pizza and cheesecake). Music is often the solution.

I ended up reflecting on how much 1980s music he enjoys.
