Now, as I see it......

You can't make an omelette without breaking eggs

Never mind an omelette; we won't be making anything in this kitchen tonight.  Just a bit of a 'record' blip for me.

First 'proper' day and it has gone well.  The unit on the right of the lower picture has been removed and all the granite taken away.  The cooker and hood have been taken out and the new units to form an 'L' on the right have been put into position.  One or two 'on the hoof' decisions made once final measurements and tile positions were noted, which means we will end up with a small 'breakfast bar' overhang on the back of the new cupboards so they line up with where the replaced wall unit will be.  This will allow for the cooker to be positioned so an existing joint between tiles will be at the centre of it and avoid the need to retile the whole of that wall.  The cooker and hood should go in tomorrow.

We'll be eating at the pub tonight!
