the simple white...

i have tried endlessly to achieve what i call "the simple white" - where i don't have to do anything to it (i.e. no edits) - it stands alone - in its purity - its elegance - the clean shape, line and texture - the color defined - where i don't feel like i need to fuss or resort to turning it into a black and white image or sepia -

one where i look at it in its purest form in nature - then through my camera - then get all giddy with delight... because finally - finally - what i saw - and what is before me - is one and the same - no fiddle faddling necessary - my heart leaping with unexplainable joy... i know some may say this is the silliest thing they've ever heard - it's a photo - but alas... to me, this one - this simple white today, has been almost 3 years in the making - i've come close - and this isn't perfection by any means - but it's the nearest i've come - so i'm taking a simple moment to rejoice in it - to claim it as mine - because i can - and i will - i hope you'll rejoice with me - for these moments are precious for us - often short - we need to take advantage of them as they come upon us - realizing they will aways make for...
