Guiding At The Mansionhouse.

We arrived at Hill of Tarvit and I am surprised to find a new place to guide is the Car Park where Visitors will be made welcome. That is my first location hence today’s entry photo.

I trust that your device will allow you to see of the new information board. 

This is a fair weather location and much to my surprise our visitors have many questions that I can answer and point them to the place they wish to visit.

There is another reason that a welcome is given. The car park has become a location for people who have no intention of visiting the property. They are walking dogs and they do not pay for using the car park!

NTS Members and visitors to the House are free to use the car park.

Already the amount of money raised is significant. I was interested to note how many cars arrived complete with dogs and quickly left when they saw me in my very bright tabard standing near the cash machine.

The hour passed quickly and I was also able to answer many queries.  The guides who were on duty following my stint mentioned similar experiences.
