Incoming tide

Had a wonderful day in London with two of my favourite people. We went to the Queen Elizabeth Hall on the South Bank for a remarkable concert by the Norwegian Chamber Orchestra and Pekka Kuusisto playing a wide range of works by Shostakovich. It was a captivating blend of music, lighting, theatre, costumes, images and an imaginative use of the stage space. I’ve never seen anything like it. Then a bus back to Kings Cross on a balmy evening just as the Thames tide was coming in, the light on the water was silvery and beautiful,
