A young Kes

We spotted these two young kestrels in the yard of this property in Witherslack whilst on our bike ride today - the one shown in the thumbnail was making a huge noise, but the one in the top left slit window was just looking out at the world and didn't seem bothered about joining his/her sibling.  Apparently all young kestrels look similar to their mothers, but there was no sight of either parent.
