Thomas came across his bird ID book and so we went for a walk in the nature reserve to try and spot some. Which we did... robin, herring gull, crow, pidgeon and what looked like a blackcap. I've got a spare RSPB book at home so I'll bring it for him next time.

Later we dismantled the king size bed as it's old and the base is broken. Mike's back is bad at the moment so Rose and I managed it, with help from Thomas. The mattress, which is relatively new, can go on the floor until the replacement base arrives.

I'm taking home a folding table that's surplus to requirements, it'll be great for my painting in the little bedroom. Rose and I got it downstairs and into the car very carefully as it's heavy. Now I've just got to get it out of the car and upstairs, but my son will most likely be able to help me.

Time to go home. And Thomas has just lost another tooth!
