Life in Sunny Dubai

The desert along the E311

We got to the branch near the airport. The first car they gave had several dents. The inside looked terrible. Fortunately, they had a similar vehicle which had fewer dents and scratches and was slightly cleaner inside.

Our first stop was the Peugeot garage. I realised last night that I had accidentally left my X30 camera in the car. It took a while to find where it was parked(!) and retrieve the camera. We then set on our way to RAK. I've been wanting to get out of Dubai for weeks. The hire car is a Suzuki Ciaz, which I *think* is manufactured in India! It felt like it needs a break between rentals as some mechanical things could do with being seen to.

Anyway, we stopped at The Cellars and then Barracuda and were soon heading back to Dubai. G took some pictures out of the window. It's crazy to see tall trees growing out of dunes! The extra of the classic car was shot near the National Paint (or National Pain as the T had fallen off) junction in Sharjah.

We stopped briefly in Festival City before crashing out. It feels super hot outside, with the temperature well into the 40s.
