Gardenia flowers.

The 13th Week in Ordinary Time in the Christian Calendar.
The Feast Day of Saint Theobald of Provins. 1033. Patron of farmers, winegrowers, bellmakers, shoemakers and Provins

It has been an interesting Sunday because I went along to St Peter and St Paul's Parish Church Festival Day. Paul stayed home awaiting a cat water fountain, due to be delivered today.
The Church had been planning this festival for weeks and praying for dry decent weather. This is because people had volunteered to abseil down the outside of the clock tower to get sponsor money to raise funds for building repairs. I stood and watched three people descend the tower without mishap. They wore hard hats and safety gear. I must admit, it looked daunting.
Then I went into the back of the church to browse the stalls. I bought lemon marmalade, blackcurrant jam, a hosta plant and a wine bottle with multi coloured lights inside. I had a good chat with a few friends there, which was lovely.

Now I am watching Songs of Praise. I enjoy this most Sundays, as it is Christ, Church and community centred and there are not many TV programmes like it.

The Gardenia flowers opened last evening. They are my favourite exotic flower and they fill the room with a heavenly fragrance.
Enjoy your Sunday and thank you for visiting my site today blip friends.
