Flying the flags

I have often mentioned the village coffee shop, Basil and Blue, in my blips but at the other end of Chobham High Street is another, larger coffee shop/cafe, Pasha's. Max, the owner, is very genial and, like B&B, the cafe attracts lots of cyclists. Max is of Turkish origin although I think the Turkey flag has only appeared whilst the Euros have been taking place in Germany. Similarly, the Union flag - though, strictly speaking, Max should only have been "flying" the cross of St George for England and the Saltire for Scotland. Sadly, Scotland didn't make it into the knock-out rounds. Turkey did but face a tricky match against Austria to progress further. As for England, they would normally be expected to beat their next opponents, Slovakia, but on their present form who knows.....
