Scanned Negatives

The moment of truth: thanks to Tuttle Jnr, who not only encouraged me to shoot on film, but also got the 35mm negatives scanned by some clever folk at Analogue In Wonderland, on this very day. So technically not a blip of today as such. Not my scan, but my picture taken with a Canon FX with a 50mm prime lens set on a mechanical timer. This was the shot I took on the actual day with my Pentax Kf DSLR also fitted with a 50mm from the exact same position and same exposure settings. You'll notice the obvious crop factor between the two.

You'll also notice the similarities of exposure and colours between this shot and the 110 camera shot in the extra.

The blue hat shot in the extras was let down by the shutter speed mech at 1/1000th sec (at f1.8 I think) which the Canon seems to dislike as the rest of the 400 ISO roll appeared to show a familiar pattern. Also, like the ice cream van shot.

Overall I think the roll came out pleasingly ok. And even more pleasing is seeing Tuttle Jnr's film negatives looking more and more pro-like, developing his own particular style, which differs greatly to my own.
