Seal beach
With graduation done, this may well be our last visit to Aberdeen. So what to do with the last time here? We chose to head OUT of town up to Newburgh to the seal beach for a walk. We reckoned there were up to 1000 seals there today - one lots hauled up alongside the river (the grey line on the opposite side of the river in the photo), and another lot closer to the sea.
They were all relaxing with the occasional jostle and snarl, and plenty of eerie wailing. Quite a sight. Great walk down the beach with such a threatening sky - but rain never came.
Our son and his girlfriend were off to a graduation ball in the evening so MrKT and I were back in the campervan. We parked up on the esplanade - not quite the peaceful plot we’d been used to on Orkney, but still a great sea view and dolphins putting on a show.
