Today's the day

Today's the day  . . . . . . . . . . to relax

A lovely summer day here - and the chance to relax and enjoy it.

We went into Dumfries to drop off a couple of Will's paintings at the Gracefield Arts Centre.  He has entered them for an upcoming exhibition there - so fingers crossed that they will be among the ones chosen  to display.

Then it was back home to spend the rest of the day in the garden occupied on our own little projects - but meeting up for refreshments now and then!  Actually, Will's project wasn't so little as he's been building a stone tower - but more of that anon in another blip.

The above is the first flower to open on the blue lace-cap hydrangea bush.  It's been a good year for hydrangeas here and this one is going from strength to strength.

It's now time for some cheese and wine - and to catch up on what's been happening on the first day of Le Tour . . . . . . . .
