On This Day In History
1967: The Rolling Stones fight the law and the law wins

Quote Of The Day
"I only get ill when I give up drugs (1)..... I don't have a drug problem, I have a police problem. (2)"
(Keith Richards)

I have two words - one of them a compound noun - for Mr. Richards regarding each of those statements.
(1.) Cold turkey.
(2.) Causality.

When Mick Jagger and Keith Richards were in the police cell, they had a meal of prawn cocktails, roast lamb with mint sauce, fresh strawberries with cream, ice melon, fresh fruit and a half bottle of Beaujolais wine delivered to each of them. Nice way to create solidarity with your working class brothers and sisters. Jagger was sentenced to three months in Brixton Prison and Richards to one year in Wormwood Scrubs. They were released on appeal after three days.

Respect to Mick Jagger for learning his lesson and cleaning up his act after that. Richards could learn a thing or two about discipline and respect from the police and the Hanshin Tigers.

"I need your discipline,
I need your help.
I need your discipline.
You know once I start I cannot stop myself."
