Probing

Another macro today. I went into school to collect any orders for pictures from their production (got orders for about ninety prints, so that should keep me occupied over the next few days) and then went back to the butterfly meadow at the nature reserve on the way home.

There was a dragonfly dancing about when I got there, but I'd only got the macro lens and it didn't settle, so I looked around the flower heads and got a range of insects. I liked this one of a shield bug on a common knapweed. I love the way the colours on these flowers almost looks liquid towards the middle.

Back home for a quick lunch after this and then my monthly afternoon at the hospital while my mother-in-law had her injection for her AMD. Home again eventually, tea, watch the news, collect daughter from her singing lesson, collapse into a chair for a bit, go to chip shop for curry sauce and chips for exhausted wife, who had just done a twelve hour day including a parents' evening. And that brings me up to now, sorting photographs.

Weather still sunny and extremely hot, although it did cloud over a bit at about tea time. All that did was make it more humid. It could be a hot and sweaty night.
